Check these steps before you start setting up Analyzify on your Shopify store to experience a smooth setup process.
Understand what you can and can't do with Analyzify. Check out the playbooks for GTM & Shopify, Google Analytics & Shopify, FB Pixel & Shopify, and Google Ads & Shopify to understand how Analyzify can benefit your store. You can also check our Support Scope & Policy to learn more.
Clarify your needs and decide which pixels you wish to use in GTM.
Remove GA4 and GTM tracking codes from your theme files to ensure that there are no conflicts with Analyzify's tags.
Click here to learn about the issues with hard-coded pixels and how you can clean them to prevent double-tracking issues with your conversions.
Fill out our onboarding section to provide necessary information to set up tracking for your store.
Always back up your theme files before making changes to your store.
If you run your store on a Shopify Plus plan and haven't upgraded to the checkout extensibility, we recommend that you check the “checkout.liquid” file, which should exist in your theme, before installation.
You can find this file by searching for “checkout.liquid” in your theme files.
We recommend that you add a new conversion for Google Ads, instead of the existing purchase conversion, and continue with the setup using that new conversion label.
If there are two purchase conversions, you should set one as the primary and the other as secondary because having two primary conversions causes duplicates of conversions.
You can check out the Create a New Conversion article to set up a new conversion.
As you can see in the setup steps, we recommend that the Facebook Pixel and other integrations remain native.
If you are not satisfied with native integrations, you can use our tags. Here, keep in mind that you need to uninstall the native apps and delete the related fields. Otherwise, you may encounter duplicated counts.
Take a deep breath and confidently proceed to the next step to set up Analyzify for your Shopify store.
