Analyzify automatically stores key marketing attribution parameters in your Shopify order notes. These values help identify how each customer arrived at your store and what interactions led to their purchase — even when third-party tools lose visibility due to cookie restrictions or ad blockers.
What’s Stored in the Order Notes?
When a customer places an order, Analyzify saves various tracking parameters in the Shopify order’s "Additional Details" or notes section.
Consent Tracking
- azfy_consent : Indicates whether the customer accepted your cookie/tracking banner. Useful for GDPR/CCPA compliance.
Meta (Facebook) Tracking
- azfy_fbc : Facebook Click ID stored as a cookie. Tied to a specific session and used for attribution in Meta Ads Manager.
-
azfy_fbclid
: URL-based version of the Facebook Click ID (
fbclid
), typically present on the landing page. - azfy_fbp : Facebook browser identifier. Helps track users across sessions.
Google Analytics & Ads
- azfy_ga : Universal Analytics client ID, used to track user behavior across sessions.
- azfy_ga_ABC123 : GA4 session ID. "ABC123" represents the GA4 Measurement ID portion. Session-based and specific to the GA4 property active via Analyzify.
- azfy_gclid : Google Click ID, essential for connecting Google Ads clicks to conversions.
UTM Parameters
- azfy_utm_source : Traffic origin (e.g., google, facebook).
- azfy_utm_medium : Marketing channel (e.g., cpc, email).
- azfy_utm_campaign : Campaign name (e.g., spring_sale).
- azfy_utm_content : Variant within a campaign (e.g., different ad creatives).
- azfy_utm_id : Campaign element ID used in Google Ads.
- azfy_utm_term : Search keyword used by the customer.
TikTok Tracking
- azfy_ttclid : TikTok Click ID linking orders to TikTok ads.
- azfy_ttp : TikTok browser identifier for user recognition and attribution.
Use Cases and Benefits
- Single-order attribution : Identify the source and campaign behind individual orders.
- Fill attribution gaps : Get accurate tracking even if cookies are blocked or tools fail.
- Compliance insight : Track consent status for each order.
- Upcoming reporting : Cross-order analysis will be supported in future Analyzify reporting features.
Setup Requirements
Attribution tracking is automatic but only activates if one of the following is true:
- At least one server-side tracking setup (GA4, Meta, TikTok) is completed, enabling tracking automatically.
- Alternatively, go to Settings > Integration Settings > Server-side Purchase Tracking – Cart Data Collection and manually toggle ON.
How to View the Parameters
Go to any order in your Shopify admin and check the Notes or Additional Details section. If the parameters are missing:
- Ensure Analyzify is fully installed and configured
- Verify the cookie banner is functioning
- Confirm the customer gave consent (if required)
