Google Cloud Server-Side Tracking

Learn more about Analyzify's Server-Side Tagging to improve data accuracy and privacy compliance for your Shopify store.

Server-Side Tracking is processing data on the server instead of the user's browser. This method improves data accuracy, enhances privacy compliance, and reduces the impact of ad blockers and browser restrictions.

Analyzify's default version comes with advanced data layers and a Google Tag Manager (GTM) container that fully integrates with Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, and more. This is the standard client-side GTM setup. We also offer a more sophisticated server-side solution as an add-on.

Analyzify Server-Side setup includes GTM, Analytics, Google Ads, and the Facebook Conversion API. The server-side tagging requires a one-time fee , similar to the core Analyzify setup, with ongoing server costs payable to Google. We do not charge anything extra. The cost of the Analyzify Server-Side Tagging Add-on is $2790 per store.

What's Included?

All hits are sent through your subdomain, ensuring first-party tracking and cookies. Many merchants mistakenly believe they have server-side tracking, but often it’s not the case. We provide managed service with 12 months of expert-level support .

FAQs

What does Analyzify Server-Side offer?
Analyzify provides an all-inclusive server-side tagging solution that comprises FB Conversion API, Analytics, Google Ads, and GTM. We ask that you create a Google Cloud account and use that account to complete all server-side tagging.
How does server-side tracking work? Do you host any data?
Analyze server-side tagging configurations will be served under your properties. We will not collect or transfer any data to our properties. All data will be sent to your own Google Analytics, Google Cloud, and GTM accounts. Our team will handle the setup and validation.
What is the total cost of the Server-Side service?
Analyzify’s server-side tagging add-on is priced at $2790, which covers setup, service, and support with a one-time fee. The core version of Analyzify costs $749, also a one-time fee, and includes 3 months of expert support. Additional support is available at $179 per month. To run server-side tagging, you need a Google Cloud account, which provides a $300 free credit. Monthly costs depend on your traffic and typically range from $60 to $90.
How to get started with Analyzify Server-Side Add-on?
If you already have the core version of Analyzify on your Shopify store, go to the app settings and click "Get Started" on the Server-Side Tagging add-on. If you don't have Analyzify yet, begin with the core setup, and you'll have the option to purchase the add-on once your initial setup is complete.
Why do I need the core version of Analyzify if I already have the server-side tagging setup?
The server-side tagging setup works on top of your existing data analytics setup. You need a solid data analytics foundation, including data layers and a web-GTM container, to run server-side tracking. Therefore, the server-side setup is an add-on to the core Analyzify version.
What's the difference between client-side tracking and server-side tracking?
Most websites use client-side tracking, where almost all actions occur in the visitor's browser. When a visitor accesses a site, Google Tag Manager (if installed)operates in the browser (e.g. Google Chrome or Safari), reads data layers, and sends data to third parties. In contrast, server-side tracking processes data on your server.
How do you ensure everything works as expected, and how long does it take?
We ensure everything works as expected through comprehensive data validation and custom adjustments. The entire setup process, including validation and adjustments, typically takes 5 to 7 days.
